Cuba celebrates 50 years of revolution. But being on the way and among the people it seems like they have nothing to celebrate: the economy breaks down; enormous poverty is prevailing over the country. But: Especially due to the hurricanes disasters last year, Cuba is still experiencing a spiritual awakening. This situation and the suffering of the people have led to a big openness for the Christian faith. Churches are growing exceptionally and they have a great attitude.
We want to support our Cuban brothers and sisters in the following areas:
Cost for fuel
There is one truck which is the only means of transportation of the church on the Isla de la Juventud- Missionary work on the Isla de la Juventud / the Theological Seminar:
Our aim is to continue supporting the missionary training courses for our members of staff with computers for learning purposes (in Cuba nearly the only possibility to get books is using the internet) as well as with sponsorships for students and members of staff. Furthermore, MASA wants to give assistance to the branch on the
Isla de la Juventud, where 57 collaborators are being instructed for the missionary work of the churches. - Children-Bible-Clubs:
Through this project children can be reached with the gospel. - New Missionaries
- Marco Rivero Sinclair: He will assume the direction of the missionary work of the East Union and provide assistance to the missionaries. He will also be responsible for promoting projects like “Cuba 2010” as well as new missionary work.
- Francisco Felipe Rodríguez San Juan: He is a passionate missionary who preaches the gospel among people in a slum called Solar. Solar is located in the centre of the city of Havanna. He goes to all, also to the gangsters. He himself was a gangster before he converted to Christ. Also the government employees are astonished as the quarter has changed positively.
